Downloading YouTube Videos

I watch a lot of YouTube videos on my mobile phone using my mobile internet connection and have downloaded a few of my favourites. When I want to do the same when watching videos on my desktop I dont see any options for videos to be downloaded, why is this?

Youtube only has that watch offline option for mobile devices that is why you wont see it on your desktop.

Unfortunately that is the case that you can only download on mobile phones, but why is it so, do you know Admin?
