Like mentioned in my first post I am very new to broadband. I have read a of posts on the forum and have come across the phrase lineman, what is the role of the lineman and how can he help if we have any issues with our broadband connection?
Line man is the guy responsible to keep your broadband cable intact. He is the one who comes knocking at your door when you file a complaint about your connection and he would check joints and corrosion in your local box and so on. He is also responsible for providing new connections by running cables to your place if you have applied for a new connection.
I would also like to mention that sometimes it is because of the line man that your connection problems do not get sorted out and some lucky people have a good lineman who gets problems resolved instantly.
